Sir Alex Ferguson retires - Good Riddance
 

That may sound bitter. It probably is. But I just think his behaviour in matches, towards referees and opponents, especially when losing, is imho, unacceptable. There are sayings in sport such as 'Nice guys finish last' (good song) and 'Show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser'. I personally think this is rubbish. I think that people like Ferguson, Keane, Rooney, to name a few, would behave in the same manner whatever profession they had ended up in. It's just that people like that use their profession as an excuse for their behaviour. Imho, it's like Lance Armstrong. Even if he hadn't taken drugs and had spent his career towards the back of the Tour de France, he would still have treated people badly and been unpleasant because that's what he was like. He wasn't like that because he took drugs to win the Tour de France. He was like that anyway.
