Arsenal now defend better

as a team, but their third choice keeper Mannone is just poor. Maybe Wenger should consider purchasing a new goalkeeper in January. Another striker wouldn't go amiss either! Why are all our players so woeful in front of goal? Do they not practise shooting in training? If not, why not? This could be a long, hard, boring season. AGAIN!

It's what we feared when RVP flew the nest. the additions of Podolski and Giroud haven't really fired to a great extent. If i was Wenger, I'd try Walcott upfront, he can't do much worse imo.

Defending, yes we are better but Manone isn't up to the task sadly, he has more bad games than good games, the problem is Flapianski (the second choice) is just as bad.

A long hard frustrating season ahead of us I think

Norwich City !

This is my first comment on football on this forum as I usually stick to comments about the excellent web sites that you entertain us all with.
As John may well recall, I have recently moved to Norwich and was at the match at Carrow Road. Obviously as a new supporter of my adopted home town and considering their position in the league I was pleased to see Norwich win.

With no disrespect to Arsenal, I was as suprised as anyone when Holt scored and Norwich subsequently won the game.
What went wrong from Arsenals viewpoint John.

Well done to Norwich, they certainly deserved the points. A very lackluster display from the Gooners and I think Wenger hit the nail on the head when he said Norwich wanted it more.

Disappointing for the Gooners but no team has the right to win a game of footy, you have to fight for it. In this case, there was no fight in Arsenal, they went there expecting to turn Norwich over so the game was already won in their heads. They deserved everything they got.

cheers
John

Did you see that Arsenal bizarrely took a flight from Luton to Norwich? Not only does this seem absolutely ridiculous, in my opinion, but do you think that had anything to do with the shocking performance?

This weekend, Arsenal only just managed to beat QPR with an offside goal by Arteta, which is worrying. Although, I think QPR are a better team than the table suggest, despite how much Mark Hughes irritates me in interviews (nothing is ever his, or the team he's managing's, fault. There's always, however miraculously, someone else to blame). The Arseal fans at the AGM were annoyed on Thursday, which is understandable. The thing that annoys me is the money. I think the figures last season showed that they generate more money than anyone, apart from Man Utd. I can understand not spending money when you don't have it, but not spending it when you do and are making record profits, is pointless. The very least they could do is reduce in price what are the most expensive season tickets in the country. Just sitting on it makes supporters suspicious, because of the Glazers at Man Utd and Hicks and Gillett, when they were at Liverpool. It's pretty straight forwards. I don't understand why Mr Wenger and the board don't get this.
