Default Chris Hughton is the new Brighton Manager

Brighton are the second nearest football league team to me. I think? Anyway, they seem to be a well run club that has been on the up for the past several seasons. Until this season, when Sammi Hyypia has steered them towards the bottom of the Championship table.

I think Brighton still have some good players and given that Hughton is a good manage, I would think he will start to take them up the table. The thing is though, given that Hughton did a good job at Newcastle under a difficult regime (I know things didn't end so well at Norwich), shouldn't he be able to get a job further up the pyramid? Why was he not linked to the vacancy at Crystal Palace and the subsequent vacancies at West Brom and Newcastle (although given his experience there, he probably wouldn't want that position anyway). Contrary to what people in the media often say (people who have a clear case of Big-Name-Foreign-Manageritis), there are some good manager out there n this country and Chris Hughton is one of them.
