Default Ashley Cole and John Terry

I don't understand them. I realise they probably are a bit thick, but footballers usually have advisers telling them what to say, not to say and so forth.

The thing about John Terry's defence is that it's pretty see-through. The only reason the court didn't find him gulity that they couldn't prove he meant to say it offensively. But why would he repeat word for word what he thought he heard someone accuse him of saying? Luckily, the FA did not need to prove he said it offensively, but rather wimped out on the length of his ban (imho he should have got the same as Suarez). Does John Terry not realise that everyone thinks that he was guilty, it just could not be proven?

Ashley Cole's rant at the FA is just as stupid. He changed his initial evidence to help get John Terry off. He also seems to think that people do not realise that he did this. What gets me about Ashley Cole is the way he acts suggests he has absolutely no idea how he comes across. He doesn't even seem to understand how the way he acted to engineer a transfer to Chelsea for higher wages would piss off Arsenal fans.

On a more positive note, Gillingham are still top of League 2.
