Default Steve Clarke getting sacked

Sorry to West Brom fans, but what a joke! I realise that he'd been on a bad run of late, but they're 16th in the league. This early in the season, that is not disastrous. Plus West Brom have been unlucky in some games, notably against Chelsea. He did a really good job last season and in my opinion, should have been given the chance to turn it around.

Now Andre Villas-Boas is under pressure, although this is probably more warranted. His comments to the press seem pretty immature to me. He is a young manager, but surely that would lead you to expect him to be MORE mature for his age, not less. His signings, although admired initially (by me included; the sight of another manager being pro-active and decisive early in the transfer window, as an Arsenal fan, makes me pretty envious!) don't all seem to be as good as first appeared and seem pretty similar to what they had already. Having said that, I don't know who made the decisions, was it him or was it the director of football? I have my doubts about the director of football model anyway - if the signings are not the managers choices, how can the manager expect to utilise them properly tactically or get the best out of them? Also, surely if the signings are unsuccessful, the blame should be on the director of football's shoulders?

well they will now go down, he has done a superb job with mediocre players and Im sure if he had been left alone they would have climbed the league to safety.
