Question Brexit or No Brexit?

As every day passes, we appear to be drawing ever closer to a Peoples Vote ( or 2nd referendum if you prefer ), in an effort to resolve this turmoil in which we find ourselves.

If there is anyone who is totally bemused by this sordid affair and has no idea which path we should take, I thought it might be helpful to get the advise of that well respected political guru, Omid Djalili for his totally unbiased opinion ---:

I always had a feeling that you could be quite vociferous if you wanted to be.

Perhaps Theresa May would be more effective if she wore the correct coloured panties.

I thought that the introduction of Omid Djalili would inject a little humour into this debacle but it sadly hasn't happened yet __ if we ever lose our sense of humour, we are well and truly stuffed as a Nation.

Our two contributors so far have vowed never to vote again. The end of democracy in this country would result in a Police State making us only marginally more wealthy than Zimbabwe! Not only that, it would be an insult to Emmiline Pankhurst whose brilliant new statue was unveiled only this week in Manchester.

Boris Johnson has never deserved the heroic following that he got. He may be the funniest chairman on HIGNFY, ( Have I Got News For You ) but as a politician, he is a twit-head! As a Pied Piper, he led us to the precipice . Are we all going to leap over the cliff edge like lemmings? -- I sincerely hope not.

I'm sure that we'll emerge from this shambles eventually, as we always do, but our children won't thank us for the mess we've made of it so far.

Well, I am from a colonial country and not British but a strong Anglophile, the issue of Brexit is the issue of our superior British and it is not our right to interfere. But I would like to say my opinion as an inferior to our British Lords.

I am with Brexit and like the British Empire to come again to surface and be stronger than ever. Britain is a true nation and should be totally independent. Instead of getting united with Europe, Britain can collaborate with countries that they colonised in the past. You may think that this is a mad idea since:

the general view of ex-colonisers here -- Middle East and Arab world -- is that they robbed countries, humiliate people, etc. But of course this is not the opinion, of all people, in fact, many honour our British colonisers and consider them as their ultimate
superiors.

The British used to manage the Middle East in an efficient way, they have put a great effort to civilise the region, from the British Empire era up till now. This without doubt has contributed to the peace of the world, and should be respected. The more time Britain occupied a country the more stable it is now. The British know the Middle East region very well, they have experience in managing indigenous anti-occupier rebellion and taming the wildness of people.

My argument is: When you pull a harness over a horse head, attach it to a carriage, apply bridle, hold the reins, use the crop/whip, and drive away, you are not humiliating the horse; the horse is simply doing it's job in life. The problem is that everyone wants to rule, which I believe it's wrong. Wise superiors rule, others obey. The struggle should be to keep superiors strong and always on top, and not to support inferiors in their hopeless attempts to become superiors. It's integration rather than competition.

We will be stronger under the rule of Britain.

I couldn't care less.

I just want more pleated skirts and dresses in ripping4fun and the other websites (or full skirts and dresses if pleats aren't possible). The more fabric the more fun.

It's just that women wearing pleated skirts have this "can't touch this" aura. They are not associated with arousal (or "mature" intend). Which makes them super sexy IMHO.

So I vote for more pleated skirts

It would upset me greatly if i thought the epitaph on my tombstone was going to read ::: ----

As indicated, i am grateful to you for your valuable and well-meaning contribution.

I never voted on it.
Based on the very simple fact that I really don't consider myself to be in a good position to determine whats good and best for my country.

I was born after the UK joined the EU....so I have absolutely no experience at all in what life was like when we were not part of the EU.

And there are also the factors that I really don't have the interest and knowledge to keep up with things like politics....I don't want to pretend I'm suddenly all politics savvy every 5 years just because it's the cool and trending thing at that particular time.
Plus I really don't have the time for it.

People argue about the right to vote....or it's your duty to vote. What about being properly qualified to vote?

It's easy to simply check a box and drop a slip of card into a ballot box every 5 years......but how many of those people actually follow politics on a daily basis and really understand what it is they are actually voting for?

You would not trust an 18 year old stoner to perform brain surgery on someone who was a dear relative of yours....likewise....should that 18 year old stoner be trusted to have a say on whats best for the country?

One thing that has repeatedly been said to me before. "If you don't vote....you can't complain about the type of government you get".

But on the other hand....if you are going to pressure people into voting, despite them having neither the intelligence, qualifications or understanding of what it is they are doing.....then again, you really can't complain about the type of government you get.

Well I mean....if we base it purely on good old porn material....one of my 3 favorite DiP video featured 2 Eastern European models, Lucy B and Vanessa M "Lucy has had enough of her flatmate".
That wouldn't of happened if we were not in the EU!

Question

It's good that we can have a serious discussion from time to time and there are few things of more importance than our Political futures and what our destiny is to be. We are not politicians which is why i'm not generally in favour of referenda. We should be able to trust our politicians we put in power to act on our behalves and in our best interests. Sadly, they are generally an indecisive bunch and frequently come up with some hair brain schemes like building an airport in the middle of the English Channel or buying obsolete water canon fire engines from abroad at great expense to the London tax payers only to be told by the then Home Secretary, Theresa May, ( remember her? ) that she won't allow Boris Johnson, the then London Mayor, to use them. He wanted them to help quell the anticipated riots in the streets of London. If they made sensible decisions, there'd be no need for rioting.

They all have vested interests which affect their decisions on important issues like building the 3rd runway at Heathrow, and the building of HS2 fast track train link from London to Manchester. We've been waiting nearly 30 years for a decision on where the new airport runway is to be built whilst work on HS2 rail link is due to commence in 2021. Many new homes will have to be demolished to make way and a lot of M.P.'s (mainly Tories), will have irate homeowners to confront, which is why they've dithered for so long.

I can remember what life was like before we joined the E.U.--we used to import dairy produce from Australia and lamb from New Zealand. It surely makes sense for us to trade perishable goods like food, from our near neighbours rather than transport them from the other side of the world!

These are exceptional times and call for exceptional circumstances. As Parliament is gridlocked over the way ahead, I reluctantly favour a Peoples' Vote. I have heated discussions with friends and i think that this issue is every bit as divisive as was the Miners' Strike during the Thatcher years. I've no idea how this will all pan out but it won't be easy, of that i am quite certain!
