Cherry English was enjoying a quiet afternoon in her lounge, looking elegant in a short black dress, when the peace was shattered by the sound of miniature jackhammers. Confused, she got down on her hands and knees to investigate. Her jaw dropped. Finally, silence fell. One worker remained, freezing in terror. Cherry reached down, plucking him from the floor. She inspected him, a cruel smile playing on her lips. Since he was so determined to be in her house, she decided he could stay—inside her. She popped the tiny workman into her mouth, crunched down, and swallowed, ending the roadworks permanently.
