mitchell johnson terrorises the poms
being an aussie who has been suffering for a while
at the hands of england it was great to give it to them on the weekend.i think there are a few mental scars for jonathan trott and others to get over at the hands of a fired up mitchell johnson who was an absolute terror reminded me of the old bodyline series get used to it england we are back. |
lol, and now Trott has left the series bacause of stress...
You have to hand it to the aussies though I think (hope) England will bounce back |
didn't know that trott was suffering that way probably explains some of the shots he played his mind seemed to be elsewhere and you're right one test win won't win back the ashes we need to back it up in adelaide and with all the sledging between the two teams i'm sure england will come out pumped up.
|
can't believe michael clarke told jimmy anderson to prepare to get
his fuckin arm broken that was dumb should of lost all his match payment. |

they are saying that the drop in pitch at adelaide will be a batsmens paradise early
so winning the toss today could be vital they are also saying it will turn quite a bit as the match wears on. |
The way it's going, Aus on 273 for 5, England with 3 dropped catches, I fear this is going to be another mauling. I reckon the Aussies will easily knock off 400 plus tomorrow and England will fail with the bat again in the face of aggressive bowling.
Oh dear.... |
if they hadn't dropped those catches they would be well on top the joe root catch was hard but the last one that carberry dropped was a soda you don't want to give haddin too many lives the first hour this morning very important.
|
A massive 570-9, catches win matches. Haddin dropped on 43 went on to make 118, Clarke dropped on 18 went on to make 148 and Panesar dropped Bailey on 10 who went on to make 53.
What shambles this lot are at the moment. |
could of been worse john carberry was out lbw on the last ball of the day
we didn't review the not out decision it would of been given mitchell johnson was bowling thunderbolts every ball around 150 km. you also forgot haddin was caught behind off a no ball when he was 51 it would of been ben stokes first wicket at the time aussies well on top. |
It's fairly pathetic. If England dont put in at least a half decent batting performance in the second innings, it's curtains for the series, their confidence is rock bottom and quite simply they are being bullied, they should man up.... They look shell shocked...as for Pietersen...who?
|
kevin pietersen will always play dumb shots early in his innings he needs to pull his head in mitchell johnson had your blokes running scared yesterday he was brutal.
my other observation is ian bell is by far the best batsmen in the team he needs to play at number three joe root is not ready yet especially if he is coming in early which seems to be happening a lot. 3 innings in a row you have not made 200 the ashes are nearly gone unless you dig in soon. |
at least england showed some fight yesterday joe root played really well deserved a ton crazy shots early by cook and carberry very strange aussies should wrap it up early today.
|
get ready for the heat for tomorrows 3rd test 4 days of 38 celcius plus
the wicket is going to be really hostile too. |
you let us off the hook again had us down and out at 5/143
ended up 6/326 the heat late in the day was a factor steve smith was a brilliant knock never gave a chance. |
england 4/180 it was a struggle yesterday our bowlers toiled hard in the heat
could go either way this morning depends on if ian bell can get going evenly poised at the moment. |

lost 6/71 this morning. |
after yesterday's effort only a miracle will stop the ashes from coming back to us.

great effort by the aussies england went down fighting
a great knock of 120 by ben stokes he is a player of the future showed great grit. |
Shockingly abject display by England. Well done to the Aussies for quite literally battering England into submission.
Poor batting, poor bowling and poor fielding. England just haven't been at the races. |
day 1 4th test england 6/226 very slow day's cricket
kp still there but has been dropped twice could of been worse. |
england 255 all out not enough it's a good batting wicket
kp played a crazy shot to get out probably thought he was running out of partners. |
after a bad start to the day england managed to be in charge
australia 9/164 still 91 behind a big day for england. |
no need for scores today just to say england put in an absolute shocker today
if australia bat sensibly tomorrow they will be 4 nil up. |
Shocker is the word. Seems like a mini collapse at the start of the innings and then a epic collapse at the end of it!!
|
hard to believe england were 100 in front with 10 wickets in the bank
at lunch time yesterday and australia win by 8 wickets in a breeze. rogers and watson batted really well but england are playing like they wish the tour was over. |
same old same old for england today had australia 5/97 and we made 326
thanks to haddon and smith england 1/8 at stumps looking in trouble already. |
I just caught a glimpse of the text at about 2am this morning and saw with Haddin & Smith in singe figures. The commentators were lauding the bowling performance but I juts shook my head. Haddin has the second highest run score in the series with a batting average of 65.0. The highest English batsmen is Pietersen on 35.63!!
|
well john england are finally out of there misery
set 448 to win england all out 166 inside 3 days they lost 7 wickets in an hour after tea hard to believe or is it. a lot of soul searching to be done in the england camp the only shining light ben stokes with bat and ball very promising all rounder. |
It's been a complete joke mate. I read an artical in a Sunday paper yesterday from a cricket correspondent stating England had become too insular, and I agree with the statement. When Cook was asked if the team welcomed opinion from previous successful test players, he said No. Whatever problems the team had, they would sort them out from within. crazy.... and when a team has an 82 page document detailing their dietry requirements (which included pumpkin sees, mungbean curry and goji berry breakfast bars!!) clearly something bad has gone wrong!
|
it looks like it's south africa's turn to feel the hostile bowling of mitchell johnson 4/51
and a few batsmen shaken up already. |
thought the aussies were going terrible in the t20 world cup
just heard england got thrashed by the netherlands how low can it get. |
