Part 3 of 3
A few hours before the events in Scarlet Vixen VS. The Shadow Songstress...
"Hello Bobbi. Yeah I'm still coming just running a little late. You and Constance sit tight. I'll see you in a few."
Katirina Williams, A.K.A. Amethyst hung up her cell and opened the driver's side door of her newly restored 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans AM. It was solid black with a deep purple trim along the bottom. Suddenly she was grabbed by several hulking figures. They looked to be police or military, an elite unit of some kind. Whoever they were, they knew what they were doing.
"What the fumm... Let me go!" Amethyst exclaimed. Her arms where being restrained from the side by two, while a third had her held tightly around the waist. She tried throwing elbows and head butting the one behind her but was unsuccessful. It is then when the one behind her finally spoke.
"Okay that's enough from you. Time to go nigh nigh gorgeous." Amethyst was powerless, as she watched a syringe being prepped. The voice was male and all business.
"Who are you people?! No! No!" The agent tried to shy away from the needle, as a gloved hand was placed over her mouth. "Noooommmppphhhh!!! Mmmmmpppphhhh!!!" But her efforts did her no good. The sedating serum was injected directly into her carotid artery with expert skill and precision.
In seconds Amethyst's body turned to jelly and her mystical blue eyes drooped and rolled back. Somehow though, she was not totally collapsing. Even with such a high dose, she was still battling to stay awake. Her eyes were sliding up into her head drowsily but she would not allow herself to totally succumb to the sedative. Every time she would start to, she would jerk and jar herself back to the edge of unconsciousness.
As the team of figures restrained her and waited for her to go out, Amethyst remained stubborn. "Uuuuhhhhmmmssssmmm nnnnnnn..."
"Man you're a tough one, aren't you Ms bad ass girl?" said one of the men holding her arms.
"Quite!" Barked the one behind her. "That's ok. Let her fight it all she wants. She isn't going anywhere." Her captor said, brushing her hair. Suddenly a voice boomed from behind.
"We've got to get going. Let her go and let me handle it." The brute did as he was instructed and Amethyst staggered a few steps before collapsing against her car. The door open alert. was still chiming a monotonous cadence, as the girl fell on all fours. She was struggling to get up, as someone grabbed her shoulder and turned her toward them. Her eyes were rolling ridiculously.
"We meet again my lovely, lovely game."
Even in her drugged condition Amethyst knew that voice... "Des... Desssmond..." She slurred, trying to register his face.
"Glad you remember me. Katirina was it? Oh. Forgive me. You like to be called Amethyst. You're a really stubborn girl, you know that?" He says, caressing her sleepy face and peering into her rolling blue eyes. "But we need to go. So you need to take a nap. Sorry." With that he gives, the groggy woman a right cross, knocking her out cold. She now lay there, with hair blanketing her cheek.
"Get her in the van!" Desmond orders, while he dials a cell phone number. When the call is picked up, he simply says, "Phase one complete, Gemini."
*******
Bobbi and Constance were chatting in Bobbi's bedroom. "Mom sure is running late." Constance said.
"I called her she is on her way. Don't worry, She wouldn't miss her birthday visit. I tried calling Lee but she's not answering. She's probably occupied." Bobbi said with a smile.
"I think I'll run down to the store and get mom's favorite candy." Constance said.
"Ok but hurry back." Bobbi replied
Bobbi watched her niece make the short walk down the street to the convenient store. Suddenly she heard footsteps approach her bedroom door. "Come on in sis. It's open. " Bobbi says, without thinking. She turned around to see her sister carrying a blind person's cane. Why are you using that Katirina?" Bobbi asked. There was something else off. She was wearing special ups getup and her sibling's sunglasses were black. Not the purple ones she always wore.
"Oh. I'dunno. Wanted to celebrate Halloween on my birthday I guess." Her sister answered. Bobbi was perplexed. She knew her sister well and her mannerisms were way off.
Then something clicked in Bobbi's head. A story her mother once told her about Katirina having a twin. She did not say much more, except that this twin committed unspeakable acts and had been shunned by the family. The subject was taboo around Kat and she only knew the twin supposedly died at some point. Bobbi had forgotten about all of this, until now.
"Katelyn..." Bobbi says, her voice apprehensive.
"Nice to meet you, little sister and I'm looking forward to taking care of you in Katirina's absents and my niece as well." Katelyn said, with a sly assured smile.
Bobbi knew then who she was dealing with. Someone who could not be reasoned with and who was motivated only by ego and vengeance. "What did you do with Kat? She's your sister."
"She's no longer your concern and it would behoove you to accept this fact. For you and Constance sake." Katelyn said, with ice in her voice.
"You stay away from her!" Bobbi yelled. She began throwing strikes but they were all parried or evaded. The twins ability to foresee and anticipate blows was unimaginable and her counters were precise and to the point. She turned that cane into a devastating weapon, that left Bobbi injured and weakened but Bobbi would not give up and forced herself to keep coming.
Katelyn parried once more and then discarded the cane in favor of her hands. She caught one of Bobbi's arms and snapped it at the elbow. The girl screamed in agony. "Give up Bobbi or this will not end well for you." Katelyn's voice was calm almost casual. But all Bobbi could think about was protecting Constance and finding Katirina and so she willed herself to get off a sudden kick to Katelyn's mid-section.
This angered the Amethyst Doppelganger and she kicked Bobbi in the side of her knee, shattering it. A helpless Bobbi wailed again and crumpled to the floor, writhing in pain.
"Looks like I'm gonna have to save you from yourself, sister." Katelyn said, as she placed her gloved hand over Bobbi's nose and mouth.
Despite being severely injured, Bobbi used her good limbs as best she could to fight but it was futile, Her adversary just looked on with a calm and uncaring expression.
As she struggled to breath Bobbi heard Constance return. "I finally got the back. You would not believe how busy they were Bobbi." Bobbi began fighting even harder, yelling through the glove and arching her body with effort.
"Mmmmmpppphhhh!!!! Mmmmmpppphhhh!!!! Mmmmmpppphhhh!!!!" Bobbi yelled, trying to warn Constance. But then she heard a distant thump, that made her heart sink. She sobbed even while being smothered into an unknown fate. She wanted to keep fighting for Constance's sake but was starting to get woozy from lack of oxygen. Her pretty eyes began to glaze over and roll, as her protest dulled.
"Mmmmmnnnn... Mmmmmnnnn... Mmnnn..."
In a few moments, unconsciousness rescued a murmuring Bobbi from all her pain.
