I would agree with you, the championship does look more entertaining, unpredictable and competitive than the premier league at present. A bigger bang for your buck. An example of this was when I went to the Bolton match last Saturday.
Tickets were only £25 for adults, half what I paid when Norwich were in the Premiership !!!
Norwich won 2.1 !
