Default Question for the satin destroyers out there....

Hey peeps

I have a question - Please don't think I'm being dismissive...I'm more curious than anything else

Can someone please explain the attraction of satin destruction? I've seen the vids and pics on here of satin being ripped and burned - and it makes me cry every time I see another satin garment knackered in the name of erotica

I know everyone gets their kicks in different ways, but as a lover of satin, I cannot understand the kick in burning, ripping or soiling satin clothing.

Is it a denial thing? Is it nihalism?

Answers on a postcard please - like I say.....I'm curious so I can get a better understanding, and there is no malice intended

Default Theory on Satin Dress Ripping

Hi nightietickle,

This is a very good question, and I would like to know more too. In search for an answer I want evaluate what we do know, and then offer some ideas or theories after that.

First, we know that satin is used for elegant formal clothing. The fabric is identified with garments of beauty, and women like to wear satin to look beautiful. So we know that satin is used for beauty.

Second, men like a woman who is voluptuously shaped, and the satin fabric endorses that voluptuously shape, so satin agrees with the sex appeal.

Third, destruction of the satin garment implies dominance, so there is the concept of power, and that the “winner” has control over the “adversary”.

So in summary, what we do know is that satin is appealing as a mechanism for beauty, sex appeal, and dominance.

Now let me offer some ideas or theories.

First, take for example the satin Wedding Dress. Wedding dresses are a symbol of virginity, so when the bride is in a catfight, fighting to keep her dress “intact” and “unadulterated” is a “fight to keep her virginity”. Destruction of the wedding dress is humiliation of her beauty. And if the bride wins the fight, she is dominant, she has the power, but she has had to give up something of herself to achieve that. The more fabric the wedding dress has, the more the bride has to fight to keep herself intact.

Second, satin dress destruction could be seen as “fantasy rape” or “fantasy sex”. The ripping of satin clothing could be seen as a violation of the female body.

Third, satin dress destruction could be seen as freedom. For example, the female body that is enclosed in a tight satin dress (and the breasts inside that tight shape fitting bodice, or the hips that are covered by the dress skirt) need to be “released” and need to be “given freedom” so that the breasts “can breathe fresh air”. Following on from that is the idea of “rip my dress and take my cherry”.

Fourth, is the sound of satin dress ripping. Satin tears easily, is loud when it rips (especially taffeta), and the ripping sound gives forth the erotic sound of sexual violation and humiliation.

Fifth, satin is identified with high class women, and the thought of humiliating the “high class female snob” through ripping her dress open is quite appealing to those who are less fortunate.

Sixth, that satin is sensuous. The satin fabric is used for intimacy. And ripping that satin dress is to gain intimacy by violating that private space.

At the end of the day, I agree with you that it is a shame that a gorgeous satin dress is ruined or destroyed. But by contrast that is the result of sexual passion.

Those are my thoughts for an answer to your question.

Default ripping

There is no need to anaylise the reasons for ripping satin and other clothes. The is no doubt that BOTH men and women love passionate foreplay and ripping off gowns and underwear is very much a part of sex.

There should be mutual passion and I know from long experience and my wifes experience from being a teenager upwards when she and her girl friends would often spend their free time up in each others bedrooms having fun clearing out old clothes this often resulted on garments being ripped up, and burnt on bonfires often.

There are no hidden agendas just good fun and this is the same with man and women, they either like ripping or not but my guess is they do. This is private stuff between adaults and I do not see any weird meanings behind what is pure passion.

I would like to see more of the new SilkSatin Website devoted to satin gowns and slips nightdresses etc being ripped. The girls could just parade about showing off the gowns and showing their figure with the shiny satin clinging. Then after a while of teasing us. They see a pair of scissors and they then slowly run the scissors gently down the skirt without cutting and look at the camera with a cheeky smile then eventually push the blade through the tighened skirt smiling with a sexy look, and once the satin skirt is opened up enough put the hands in and slowly tear it up wards. And so on until it's all ruined.

Just be careful not to hurt each other with any blades. Just get this sort of mood into the girls and enjoy the pleasure. As we will.

Remember, these gowns and slips should be easy to get from charity shops as they have huge amounts of old clothes. They never sell underwear and it is all destroyed as are many other evening gowns, many by householders when they dump them in the bin.

We just give them a better send-off than the bin and eventual distruction.

Please ask for any other ideas. And please update the website as I'm running out of images and video to watch.

Thanks SSSatin

Those were fascinating replies from Chriwig and SSSatin. There is also the point that it is even more erotic when the girl wearing the doomed dress is rendered defenceless against the one with the scissors.

I hate waste and am loathe to spoil a sexy gown, even though it genuinely excites my girlfriend. The prettier the dress, the stronger my inhibition. But seeing these models ruining such clothes liberates me from all such reticence, knowing full well that I can do absolutely nothing to stop the sacrilege. And then I 'm over the moon!

Is this a common reaction ?
