You must have a very powerful PC or some extreme patience.
I tried doing this with an old independent film short from 2006. 11 minute video. 640x480 but not really ....the original video footage is boxed all around with black borders. It's more like 360x240 when the borders are removed.
Tried to get it up to 1080p. Took SIXTEEN hours!!! And made the PC sound like a plane engine.
Results were mixed ....has even thicker borders so its not actually 1080p ....the footage is clearer but still maintained a kind of motion blur effect. The original video was not the best of quality to begin with.
Think I will leave that little experimental venture!
