Belle's red dress didn't have much of a life did it? Introduced to the world on Feb 7th 2023 and killed off the same day.
I thought the whole idea of wardrobe choice was to invest only in garments that could carry among many different sites.

I'm sorry but that is something of an incomplete answer.
Are you saying that it has been seen on numerous other sites but not yet released?
If it will be seen again at some stage over the coming months, why confuse the issue by killing it off so soon after its release.
I accept that it appears today on the d.f. site, but apart from that, I don't remember seeing it at all. I fully accept that I may miss some releases but I do endeavour to watch as many new uploads as possible and probably miss only a few.
